u600 multimedia messages / mms

I'm not able to receive or send mms. My wife's u600 has the same problem. We can only exchange info/photos via bluetooth. Can somebody Help! When I try to open a message with a picture that was sent to me, an error message appears. "Unable to retrive multimedia message". When I open the file to view, under status it reads "Unable to retrive:Invalid request".
