Member: 797783 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Unlocking\Unbranding a U700 First of all I'm truly sorry for opening a new thread concerning something that might already be explained somewhere else here but the fact is that after a whole day of reading I really couldn't get anywhere near the How To's I'm after. So, my question is: I got my hands on a U700 today, but it's locked to a specific Operator which is not the one I need to use it on. - How can I remove the brand-tags like the intro logo, the top right key being assigned to 3g and such, and, if possible, release it from the operator lock? I've read heaps of stuff about flashing and "OS's" to install after but I got simply dazzled by all the terms, codes and such. The phone was bought 6 months ago and the concerning operator is the Portuguese "Optimus", being the one I'm trying to unlock it to the Portuguese Vodafone (Who does not sell this model, that leaving me fearing it might not be possible). I'd like to keep the Portuguese language an option, but it's not a priority. I'm really sorry for such wall of text, it's written in true fear of having bought a phone I won't be able to use with my operator... Thanks in advance for any possible help! Please remember I'm not familiar with any terms of procedures, and "flashing" a phone resembles more like taking a picture of it to me than formatting it |
