F.A.Q About Sagem Read Before Making Thread.

Here Is Little Info About Sagem Phones..
Unlock, Connection Method, Editing Eeprom, Setting Speed And Many More.

1 How Can I Connect My Sagem Phone With Pc?
A. You Have To Use Sagem USB Data Cable Or Sagem Serial Cable To Connect Any Sagem Phone.

2 Connected Phone But Software Not Read It Why?
A. Sagem Have Special Speed Setting At Eeprom & Firmware.. If Speed Not "19200" “115200" Like That Some Software Not Detect It.

3 How To Set Sagem Speed To 19200?
A. Easy, First Start Phone Use Serial Cable Connect It To Phone.
Open Software Sagem tool. Link Is Here. Select Com Port Its Work Stable In Com1 Only. Select Speed To 19200 And Press Set.
Now U See "Baud rate 19200 Set" Means Its Set In Firmware Only.
Yes Only At Firmware If U Off And On It Its Lost...
To Set Is For Ever We Have To Edit At Eeprom. Now We Have 19200 Set In Firmware Open Sag Doc. Link Is Here.
Its Work Stable In Com1 Only.
Select Your Port Com1.
Select Ur Speed By Pressing "B" Set To 19200 Because We Used Same To Set In Firmware.
Now Go To Edit Eeprom Field “Or Press 5”Type "Field Number 147"(This Is Field Have Speed Value.) Enter. Now U Can See Its Show Existing Value. Replace It With "12" = (19200 Its Mean) And Press Enter And Then Its Ask You Confirmation Press "Y" = (Yes)
Now Done Your Phone Speed Set To "19200" Now U Can Read Phone with Tools at This Speed.

4 How Do I Can Reset Phone Code For Sagem?
A. Do Speed Setting First U Can See At Point 3. Go To Edit Eeprom Fields Type Field Number "100"(This Field Value = Phone Code) Now U Can See There 4 Numbers Like "12 34 Ff Ff" =(2143) Most Important Thing We Have To Set First 4 Digit Only Don't Remove Last "Ff Ff" Or This Field Get Corrupted. So I Replaced It With 0000 So Its Look Like This "00 00 Ff Ff" Press Enter And Y = Yes Done Your Code Reset.

5 I See So Much Time When Enter Code Any Way To Reset It?
A. Yes M62 Base Phone Have Eeprom Field For Timer Value.
Field Number "102" Timer Value. F.E. If We See At Phone " 02 00 00 00 = (Means Its Have 2 Try So 60sec Is Timer) We Just Have To Replace With All Zero Like This " 00 00 00 00" Now Ur Timer Is Zero.

6 How Do I Know My Phone Is Able To Unlock Without Opening It?
A. Sagem Are Secure Phone Always Its Base On Calculation. We Need Fields If U Have Unprotected Fields Then Its Possible To Calculate. Like Field 0 ,Field 5709,Field 191. Many Phone Have Field Protected So Only Via Is JTAG Adapter Base Solution. Some Phone Have Non Protected They Can Be Unlocked Just Read This Following Fields And Post Here

7 How to Change LCD Contrast without Going in Phone Setting?

A. Simple Again Eeprom Field Editing... First Be Sure Your Phone Speed Setting Correct And Its Able To Read With Sag Doc. U Can Read Point 3 For Speed Setting.
Open Sag Doc Select Port Go To Edit Eeprom Field Type Field Number "221" = (This Field Hold Value for LCD Contrast)
Now U Get Result. F.E. "B1 01" = (Means Ur Bit1 Value Set To Zero) You Can See U Get Low Contrast.
So Update Value With 1 To 9 Any Digit Only. F.E "B1 07" Now Your LCD Setting Is Correct And Able To View...

HOPE THIS MAY HELP ALL.

best regards
Gopal Chevli.

next tip for you:

Activate SMS character counter (in our country was many X5-2, X-6 and X-7 phones which had this function disabled in firmware):

edit field 16138 (field have mostly value 12 00 - it depend if you enable sms delivery, zoom for sms reading,...). If you change this field to 42 00 and restart phone - you get sms character counter.

It works for 95% X-6 and X-7. X-5 I mean that you need 3.9 firmware

Next one small tip:

when you need make full eeprom backup - its better use full speed 115200 bauds. If you are not able enter menu (sim missing, other error) - first use astu.exe and make log. shutdown astu (speed is set to 19200), start sagem doctor (or Sagem toolbox by Chris), change field 147 to 9D and restart phone. Now start sagem doctor, choose com port, set speed to 115200 and make backup
