myX6 voda live removed but got simlock

Hi there
I have got the following problem, hope u somebody can help me!
I have (had) got a sagem myx6 phone with hungarian vodafone live
firmware! i wanted to change it so based on an information i got, i
started editing field 997 ( from the 7th pairs of number) and 267
(from the 6th pair) in eeprom (which contains the certain firmware-
number required to upload a certain firmware.) After that, i downloaded
firmwares from www.planetsagem.com and i menaged to upload most of
them to the phone (one by one ofcourse . However, the upload was
completly successful, i got the next message: "sim locked".
Obviously, the firmware belongs to the service provider, locked the
phone. Some Italian guy says that if 997 and 267 field are the same
than it doesnt lock the phone! Is there anyone with any idea? Have u
got any useful information?
If u can PLEASE HELP!!!

Hmm i guess you changed back the fields 997 and 267 to original...
If the simlock remains, i think, you have had bad luck

without changing line 997 u cannot upload new firmware! what i would realy need is a f***g original sagem myX6 firmware which has got nothing to do with any of the service providers! but ofcourse it is not available to the public.

Hmmm ... Do you really think, its standard simlock? Is is simlock without SIM-Card or is it Simlock after Pin code?

simlock with sim card in it... it doesnt ask for pin code... i wish it would. it wants a 10 digit long number! and obviously it isnt puk or pin code...it would be too easy

jamitaly: u said in orange you have got character counter when writting sms . well i dont why? which firmware should have the character counter. one more thing: the way i did was not like yours: i was very lucky to get a vodafone live eeprom backup from a friend. i stored his backup on my phone... after that i realised that whatever i uploaded to my phone it is enough to restore the backup... sim lock goes new stuffs stays
