What do you mean?

Also have tried other good cables that I know work.

I thought it was a case of just connecting cable to myx-1
What do you mean about test points on myx-1

I had the same problem, i solved very easy.
selected another type of phone in software, so try myx 2- myx3..... etc. One will work, nothing happend don't worry it is only a reader. You have nothing to lose, do as I say. You' ll see....

I tried that already, if I select diffrent model, it just says phone not found.
Could this be a cable Issue, as in dodgy?

Cheers

look closer to see if your testpoint are ok. if yes rewrite the atmel inside reader and rehot pcb of the reader.
If this doesn't work you must find out if this the phone or the box

After pressing DO JOB, try to unplug the data plug from the bottom of handset and plug back in.......I have had a few that do this and the reader then gives code in about 3-4 seconds!!

To find out if is box deffect try to connect 3026 infineon, because u don`t need test point to this model and if phone connects then box is good and u have test point problem (inverted cables or intrerupted tracks).

Ok
Just a thought the USB power cable to the box is connected to another pc
would this have any adverse effect?

As im using an old 98se system with no usb, so usb is connected as stated to another machine.
