Member: 39582 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Upgrade MYX-3 to MYX-3d failed. Will get my baby runnin' again... Removed the akku and switched it on again - now the phone shows 'SIM locked'. Oh s*#t! Does I have a chance to get it it running again with a data cable (which I don't have yet, also no eeprom backup) and the appropriate tools? What are the steps to keep it running again if possible? Thank you in advance. -dgs - |

Member: 39582 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | ... @pitone02, do you mean, I should change all bytes I've flipped in field 16140 from 0xFF to 0x00 back to 0xFF with SagemDoctor? Then the phone will work again? Hope that the rest of 16140 which wasn't 0xFF didn't changed during reboot of phone through some firmware magic. I have no record of the old values. :-( But at first I have to wait for the data cable and use my old (but working) Mars Trium instead... Yesterday I was bursting with curiosity whats 'inside' the X3 (no backup, no data cable, no written down numbers...), now I left 'outside.' Hi Newbies, don't make the same way like me. Try to be on safe side before you change or modify something and don't rely on a working phone for some time. Thank you, -dgs |

Member: 13999 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 74 | in the posy started by me....the sequence of operation is simple. it is written "backup your old value before make change" you must restore your old value if you want your phone works. read it (field 16140) from another phone of same provider and try to write it to your phone....if you are lucky....phone works again |
