MC60 dead after failed firmware update - GSM-Forum

Hi,

Yesterday something went horribly wrong while updating the firmware of my MC60.
I hooked up the phone to my laptop using the official Siemens USB cable. While running the update program the laptop went into sleep mode after a couple of minutes (status showed about 70% done).
After waking up the laptop, the update program was still running, but stayed stuck on 70%. I waited for at least 10 minutes and then tried to shut down the update program, but it wouldn't let me. Disconnecting the USB cable caused the program to terminate. I tried to redo the update by re-starting the update program, but it can't connect to the phone.

As a result of the faileed update action, my phone won't switch on anymore. Both the Siemens Data Suite software and the update program won't connect to the phone, so there is no way I can try to update the firmware properly.

Is there a way I can bring my MC60 back to life?

It's simple, repeat Winswup Softwareupdate and your phone is working.

It seems he used update tool not winswup !
