T610 Unlock (begginer) - GSM-Forum

this will be the 1st phone i try to unlock. i've been doing alittle research, it seems easy enough. but i read something about if the firware is new there are different ways of unlocking the phone. rather then try myself and mess it up, i'm asking you to help me get started. i know there are alot of threads about this, but they basically say the same things, i'm still not sure on how to do it.

i don't know anything about Flashing, GDFS, or how the whole procedure works.

the phone info on the back label says:
T610 2623/143 R3A
there is also R25A and R4130Z on there. i'm guessing R3A is the firmware?

in the phone infor it says:
R1S001
prgCXC12-####_US_3
prgCXC12-####_TAE_US_3

# = numbers

IT Version: R1B007
prgCXC12####.TP

so how do i know what the firmware is? on the label it says R3A, but what if it was upgraded?

on the network lock screen there are 15 locks instead of 5, does that mean i have 15 tries to get it right?

i have the terminator, i have DIV 8.2, DIV 8.4 (not sure which one to use)
what i want to do is:
1. unlock the phone
2. add language pack (EMEA1)

can you guys talk me thought it?

firmware is R1S001

the rest i would ask in sonyericsson section becuase your not using original DIV

what do you mean original DIV? i think i will have to use DIV 8.x? the newer the better right?

demens: Plug the phone into div, select T610 and do a "rebuild SP Area using OTP IMEI"
It'll unlock the phone. Easy huh?
