6600 contact retailer - GSM-Forum

My 6600 is in "contact retailer" .Manual formatting start and stop on 7-8%. Any idea ,pls help!

same here, when the line reach to the letter "O" in "FORMATTING" it stops!!

Any help plz?

Try sw approach first.

Flash 6600 full erase file.

Uprade as usual.

Load 6600 PM

Unlock.

--- If erase full does not complete... there might be flash ic faulty

in some models full erase completes but phone still shows contact retailer

I do this but my phone is still on contact retailer,and I can't unlock or format

Sometimes when erase completes and it is still contact retailer, then you have flash ic faulty still. Or upp faulty. (80% flash ic, 15% upp, 5% uem)

many times full erase does not complete and is is completed untill flash processing.....
so if u reach that point meaning erase was successful. then flash it with desired
mcu-ppm after flash u get phone start up failed then format users area and load pm values and unlock. perhaps this helps and work for me.

well m8s ...to help u not to have so much efforts for nothing
till now when 6600 contact retailer fault cann't be formatted in the manual mode ...which stop in a certain percentage like STEPH said above ...then it is 100% hardware problem ....according to me i solved 8 6600s till now from same problem by changing the first or the second flash ic then flashing the phone then format it and it is done ...so till now for this problem there is no other solution so plz posters when some one post this problem don't reply on his post by the simple solution of the normal contact retailer problem and the weard ways to solve it that i am reading ...there is something called logic and steps no place for chance or the word maybe in gsm maintanance.
sorry but i am saying this to help not to be rude ...but such ways do scramble the members' ideas and concentration and don't help them .
