it is not full erase because you do not have to write RPL. that means Imei area in flash is not erased. I tested this solution (fulerase.bin) on many phones. But sometimes (hanging, apps closing) is only help Flash IC changing. By the way UEM is glued, so ....

So, It is quite easy. You write erase file as PPM. Then you have clear flash (not all but enought). Then you write Mcu and PPm latest version. When you then power on the phone you will get Contact Retailer. So with Matrix it is easy to get rid of it. But with Griffin it is not so easy. First solution is try it many times till you get the OK. The second one I tested is do not power the phone after the flashing and format user area. I get OK almoast everytime. But if you get the OK too quickly (less then 2 seconds) it is not erasing and you have to try it on other HW (Matrix,...). After tahat you get Insert SIM and you anly have to write PM a Unlock it.

When after that the phone again hangs or close apps by itself. then it is not SW problem but HW...mainly Flash IC's (you can use Flash's from 8310, they are smaller, but they are working, you will need 4 chips). But after that you will have to write RPL.
Bye, Renda
