Anouncement about griffinbox.com forum, support and filesharing

Dear forum users,

our forum, the homepage and the support area was over one week offline due a problem with our ISP, we decided to change the server again. Since we lost our data, also our email adresses was not available, this means we had NOT RECIVED ANY mails sent to follow adresses during the period 15.09-23.09.2003, if you had any inquiries, questions or whatever, please email us again. Follow email adresses was out of service during the time mentioned above:

We lost also around 200 users from our forum and around 1000 posts because we does backup our data base only once in 2 weeks.

The password for the support area has changed again, please use follow details:

The password for the FREE file sharing has also been changed. For the file sharing option you have to use a FTP CLIENT, such as CuteFtp, WsFTP, etc... or even total commander usage is possible, but it is not possible to use this option via http !!! To use the FREE sharing option, please use follow details:

We do change the passwords for support area and file sharing ftp, to know always the latest password you have to be registered in http://forum.griffinbox.com and take a look frequently in our anouncements section.


The nokia flash files download page is also lost, to restore this one will take us more than 5 days since we have to collect and transfer around 1.9GB flash files. It will be a big help for us if some users could upload some files to our FREE sharing ftp, i mean flash files, no matter if old or new, jut make sure that there are put in the right directories like DCT3 files in DCT3 folder, DCT4 files in DCT4 folder and Communicator files in LINDA folder, etc..


We had lost also the winner.php, this was the counter wich count the members with the most posts, we need also some time to restore this. Our "Help each other" game will continue as soon the winner.php will be ready again.


To restore all lost data was not the biggest problem, to transfer the domains to the new provider was the most complicated thing, since our previous internet provider made a mistake and registered all our domains on his own name, a lot of work was necessary to transfer this ones to our new ISP ()

All this was bad news, but the good news are that our new server have a capacity of 60GB, a transfer volume of 700 GB monthly, a very fast speed and the best support. The support is provided by
