I don't think so. GTCL-001 is not abandoned. Updates will come for it, but for updates need work of course.

Clip you have bought , was only for direct unlock x55 siemens as it was promised , and all others additional functions was only gift of GT for their customers , but not as support.
Do not expect any miracles and stay in the reality . Nobody will work for nothing.
And if you really need something really hot , so you should to pay for it.

worst thing to customers who want to buy Griffin products ,
that is bad marketing for Griffin. So, if they decide to make
that talking about them, no problem. Always exist many
others new projects, that is capitalism.

I expected more from griffin...yes, this box is a good product, but if it's true that they don't give support anymore for this box, I'll think better before buy something more from these people

In first , I sure that everybody here has thinking much more than twice before he buy anything.
So lets to do some things clear.
Under " product " I understand - software , it can be Vygis Alcatel sw , Sanzhez Philips sw, Victor's motorola , and many many other softwares from other good authors which comes with support.
Griffin box and clip are "a little" more different things .
Do you heard anything about support for china maded samsung clip , or clip for user code clear in NK DCT3 ? Especially about support for other phone models ? So, do not mix "product" and clip.
Upgradeable clip mostly is "know how" of GT, and i think, it was made for upgrade clip in case new versions of phone sw will be realised, but not for the mythical future models.
Also we all very well know , what happened after some weeks after clip sales was started, and who was this "clever" man .
After this GT was added ( for free for their customers ! ) some extra functions.
Also , i think , that support for some new siemens models will be added in clip , as far as it will be possible . But do not expect many "free" add-ons for extra functions This kind of step from GT will be mortal for anyone in this market, for programmers and for end-users of their sw.
So if you do not want to buy hot solutions , still look forward for cheaper or free.
And remember once one thing - really good things can be cheap or for free only in yours dreams , or they are not so good as you expected

i dont agree with you man we paid nearly same money for this clip as griffin. they promised that the clip is upgradeable and gt make good job with griffin and all the people believed that they get also good support for the clip too. nobody will lifetime support but the people bought this clip for the new siemens and after two weeks the programm was free and after two month they are not able to unlock the new phones . i think this people must be supported and everyone is waiting support. it makes the griffin team top as before. they gave good support for griffin and make the price acceptable and we saw that it beated the afd and neelix in the markt. now ufs or other tools coming and i think who gives good support that take the bigger part of the markt. and griffin must save his place.

As for me , for example I use two clips for motorola , one for p2k - v6x, v70, t72x , and other for c33x-c350. The prices for GT clip and these my clip's was similar. In the same time much ppl have offered unlocking via codes , also I know HOW TO unlock this kind of models w/o any commercial sw , or codes , but I have chosen to buy these clip's - with clip I can save my time, it works faster. So I'm completely satisfied. And I do not cry that i need a free upgrade for my clip for new c450(E380). And when clip for these models will be available on the market , I'll buy it.
About GT clip , I'm sorry , but I didn't seen that somewhere GT was promised anything about support for clip for new siemens models
Anyway after GT clip release i have not more x55 for unlock, as for me exactly this clip have destroyed my unlocking business with siemens . Now I can unlock x60 , and can earn a good money on siemens again. But if GT will release free update for x60 models , my business with seimens will be killed again. In same situation are many ppl here , - Martech customers E.g.

So in this case for me is better that GT never release any free update , but seems it is impossible.
I, think that a good exit from current "status quo" will be if GT will release update for x60 for their customers , but not for free. And I think that the price 50-100 EUR would be acceptable for most of us....

The actual philosofy of soft and hard creators:

-Make a great and good work for money, much money, obviously.

-Offer a free support for a few months (for maintenance of market and cusotmers).

-Enjoy and spend the money (during this time without notices and they are missing).

-New phones and versiones appears, the customers are desperate.

-Waste the money they come back with new great update for first work or a new work, but they need more money.

That´s all.

I understand software and hardware makers, but they have to understand customers.

Good customers always look at the support, not always the price, remember.

I want a new update for the clip.

griffin has a good name and i am sure they will not spoil it.

i preffer delayed update with good protection than fast and crackable in 1 week.
