Newbie with 'Bad Activation status' need your help - GSM-Forum

I bought a Griffin gold box, but i'm confused about the usage.
First my gammu.dll was corrupted , so i downloaded a good library but now, When I connect the Box with 9V DC then to the PC , and I run Griffin , the Program star , I've the error message 'Bad activation status".
The paralel port is set to didirectional
From time to time , the box get connected , the SN is good , But I can not detect any phone.
I've read the FAQ , but nothing refering to this.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Can somebody advise me .

maybe problem is in your computer.
from 3 computers in my service griffin work only in 2 and I never start griffin in this computer

Try to change your parrallel settings in bios
that worked for me try to change from epp to ecp

First of all - check or try to change LPT cable (pins in cable if you disconnect and connetct many times during work may not contact well)

it's sure 10000% lpt cable proplem if some times work and some times bad activation status

Amir_Zia is right , it's a computer problem , not câble problem
I tried again on a Pentium I , 133mhz(

) and The box is detected all the time.
One thing I couldn't understand , it's said in the user manual that the minimum requirement is a P3,800mhz.
Now I will test all the others functions
I was really afraid for my Griffin.
@Moustaph : All my câbles ( 3) are working with this oldie PI,133.
I'll contact you soon for another Box.

also check ur BIOS Setting EEp & something like that
it will work on that pc also may be
