Nokia 6288 not supported by NSS?

I got a Nokia 6288 (RM-78) and tried to unbrand it by changing the product code with NSS. The Nokia drivers are installed properly and the phone is connected with the CA-53 USB cable. Unfortunately it gets not detected by NSS. "Scan for product... Error!" is shown in the status bar. I'm using the Virtual USB mode.
There is a [RM-78] entry for the Nokia 6280 in the NSS.ini but no entry for the 6288.
Is the 6288 already supported? Will it in future versions of NSS?

Thanks.

Hi,

The entries in the ini files are just to give more info while selecting flash files. Nothing to do with compatibility. Its probably USB timing issue, but
dont have the phone to test right now.

I tried it on 3 different PCs and on several USB ports with no luck. I get always "Scan for product... Error!". Do i miss something?
NSU works without a problem.
Can i help in debugging somehow?

Hi,

Unfortunately we are so busy, all usb functions are just never on our list of
priorities to fix/debug. Except of fame and hundreds of GB of download
traffic per months, not much value is generated for us from the free VUD
functions.

Regards

Ok, what hardware do i need to reliably change the product code of a 6288? Phoenix?
Is it possible to download older versions of NSS? I've read a post from a user who succeeded with an earlier version. Maybe the USB timing was different there.

Thanks.

I managed to change the firmware using the Phoenix software from here:

www.toxiconline.com

Even the product code has been changed to unbranded.
