Update Patch for NSS 1.38.3 - Dct4Plus unlock via Log

Hi,

Sorry its a quick patch update, not proper installer, but Daniel is on holliday.
Just follow instructions how to update your NSS 1.38.3.

NSS.exe Beta 1.0.38.5 - 14 Nov 2006

- Ability to update Sedna Os via NSS.exe. To do it, use
the 'Sedna' button in the Device Info Tab -> Device Mainanance
Make sure you have Enabled Advanced Features first
- New optiomized version of Sedna RTOS, allowing faster loading
of the FfApp.sea
- Dct4Plus unlock is finally released for public use. Please use
the Read/Write in the Logging group
- Diamond Application Bug fix regarding SP lock calculation
- Changed the way extraction of CP is performed on Nemesis
device
- Due to popular demand we have changed the appearance and
the handling of the Flash Menu File selection Tab. Now the
Market Combo will show extended info, so product selection
will be much easier
- Ability to flash CP + PPM only, to delete selection you
can use the newly added buttons( with rubbish bin icon ) to
remove MCU selection

About DCT4PLUS unlock:

What is DCT4PLUS: those are latest cheap Nokia phones, that are partially
based on the BB5 concept(sources) but still have the old UPP asic. Some
have completly new bootrom version (2610). To name few - 1112, 2310 etc.

There are at least 4 different methods to unlock them, we just use one of
them. You have to read log file, then when you receive RPL file, you can upload
to the phone. The firmware will be partially modified before upload, then
restored. It is version dependant, if some versions are not supported, please
let us know, we will update the definitions, it takes only few minutes.

Prices and conditions will be probably announced tommorow.

Hi,

In theory it should work, but since we no longer support and test updates
on LPT device, i can't guarantee it.

I will prepare a small help file regarding this new feature, so maybe you can try.

How to use the DCT4PLUS feature:

1. Start NSS, make sure you're in DCT4 mode, go to the Security Menu, the
Simlocks page:



2. Press 'Read' in the Standalone Rebuild group to check Sim Status:



3. Press Read in the Logging group:



Put any name, the imei will be added to this name when the file is saved to selected by you directory:



4. Send the file to your dealer. When you receive the processed RPL file, just put in the '...Backup/Rpl' directory. Then press Write in the logging
group:



The file is autoselected based on the phone imei, this is to simplify bulk processing. The whole process will take 10-20 sec. At the end you should have status success:



5. Finally you can read the updated simlock status by pressing Read in the Standalone group:

But it's better to give free unlocking to make this box feature different than others. Only for flashing we can use tornado for cheap tool and friendly user interface.

If you check the f1 site offen.... you will see this ... http://www.federalone.org. There is always new update and new supprise ...

You don't need money? Why are you here? Will you give free flashing and unlocking for your customer?. Let me answer this all for you.

- We all need money
- To see any money making things for GSM market
- Sure not, unless you have nothing better to do.


Angel also need to pay for their food they get from supermarket!


We offer free 10 logs for F1 user, just to let our dearest customer to benefit on what they get from us.

Hi,

Here some info how to repair phones with Simlock related Contact Service.
Those are DCT4PLUS models that have been flashed with normal DCT4
firmware and now after restoring to original firmware have funny lock status.

Reading of such a phone will look like this:



To repair this phone, please use the above mentioned procedure, but when
sending the mail to the server, together with attaching the .ask file put in the Subject field this:

if 2610 or other type 11 DCT4PLUS model - CS11

if any type 2 DCT4PLUS model - CS2

Logs are processed in few minutes usually.

You can repair also this problem:



This happens if you flash 1112 firmware in 2610 by mistake, change flash,
etc. Please use the same procedure.

Note: If you send ask file read from Contact Service phone and forget to include this text in Subject, you will
receive this message in the return mail:
'Your mail was not processed because: Unable to calculate! Error no: 5'
The account will not be charged.

If not i've never write in here.
If u'r want make surprise why not make a big surprise for u'r customer.
Let's see what other can do like JAF or other. U'r must make something special for u'r box. Especially for the feature.
