You problem is most likely caused by the driver software that you are using.

Have a look at the other threads on this site, and try installing a driver using my guide at http://www.jonscaife.com/bt

got the latest pc suite for my 8910i fone and can connect via bluetooth fine now. connection disconnects when it feels like it though, and i have to select my com port in connection manager again and reconnect, sometimes it lasts 10 secs where as other times it will stay in till i disconnect. am i being too fussy now ?

Well at least it works. Updating the driver you are using may help with the timeout - or it may be a feature of the phone.

If you don't mind it disconnecting then take the approach "if it ain't broke don't fix it", but if its bugging you then try reading some of the software threads, or my how-to guide

@topshottauk

Get your firmware upgraded on the phone, I had a lot of connection problems with my wifes 8910i to a HDW-2 Headset, I just upgraded to newest version and everything was fine.

Regards
