| WinXP(SP2) on Dell D800 w/ TM300 (ver 1.2) and Widcomm Stack. After four failures of Holux 210's (ser2pl.sys USB) in ten months, WxWorx traded the last two for one Holux 230 Bluetooth GPS and it still works ![]() I also use an ioGear Printer Adapter and IntelliMouse that have a very stable connection with my Bluetooth (through StandBy/Hibernate or cold boot). The Holux will almost always require a re-connect following StandBy/Hibernate and if it is not on prior to a cold boot, there is no connection possible. Also, if it is turned off/on or out of range while PC is on, it will not reconnect, but demands 'pairing' (has no PIN so pairing would not be available). In order to maintain the best 'possible' service from this Holux, it must remain on and connected at all times, a few days of Bluetooth not 'seeing' it and you must use the "Wizard" to rediscover it again. Any thoughts on improving this service? Any experience with a Bluetooth GPS Receiver with more 'compatable' Bluetooth performance? With Widcomm, it has just been an annoyance. The Windows Stack once installed itself (following a system BIOS Flash) and although it recognized the GPS (and provided two channels for it), Pairing was demanded and it never connected at all. ![]() Thank you for any thoughts or advice |
