BTW_6.2.1.0100 and Windows 7 drivers
I just decided to install Windows 7 on my old Aspire 9113 with it's BCM2045 BT device yet I can't stop Windows 7 installing it's own drivers. I've tried renaming the files bth*.sys in system32\drivers to bth*.sys.old then uninstalling the Windows drivers and then running setup buy all I get is Windows installing the drivers as soon as setup starts. I downloaded this set of WIDCOMM drivers using SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe and had no problem doing this under XP.

As I know, Widcomm 6 is only an extension of the native MS stack from Vista or Windows 7. It is possible that your adapter is not included in the Widcomm inf file, so the native Windows 7 driver is used, however it should also work. Or not?
