Software to use my Nokia 6820 as a remote control - GSM-Forum

Hello,

I'm looking for software to use my mobile (Nokia 6820) as a remote control. I want to do stuff like, change tracks, reduce/increase music-volume for Windows Media Player or even for WinAmp. Actually, I just want to control my entire computer with my mobile, like: Screensaver when BT-connection is gone,... . An other thing maybe, to link it with mIRC...?

I don't know if there is sort like software avaiable, but it would be nice. Maybe it's too much asked, but if so, tell me

I've tested float Mobile Agent, but it wasn't compatible to my 6820...

PC Control: Program connects to my phone, but then nothing happens...?

FMA: I've tried that in the past, and there where some problems with the script!?

PuppetMaster: Can't get connected??
Not directly via Nokia 6820! And not via Java Server -> java applet doesn't work on my phone!

Which phone do you have zinko_pt? Does it work?

Mine will not allow me to install the app on the phone. Last time I had this problem it was because the application wasn't compatible. Any ideas?

Pc Contorl and FMA are for SonyEricsson phones.

I was using puppetmaster and it would not install. It seems as if the nokia application loader did not recognize it as a valid or compatible program.

What is the version of Nokia PC Suite?? Download 6.4 on www.nokia.com

I got a N6230 J2ME phone, but the app also works with symbian. Got the applet into the phone with bluetooth and Nokia PC suite. No problems, even with IRDA.

Theres applets for symbian and java. U just havo to choose the right one.

And guy who made the software have done a great job with the installation explanation on the PuppetMaster site.

I did finally get the software istalled and attempted to use it. I got the error message:

Unable to load class javax/bluetooth/discoverylistener

I contacted the developer of puppetmaster asking about this error. His response:

While the 6820 has bluetooth and java support, Nokia didn't equip it with the ability for java programs to control the bluetooth connection; so PuppetMaster just won't work with this phone via bluetooth. It may work via GPRS; but I wouldn't suggest trying this unless you get free GPRS data.

So, if anyone has another suggestion or different software that will work with the 6820 please let me know!

hi every 1 could u please help me i have got a samsung a300 its on orange when i put a orange sim card in it cames up on the display phone locked return for servicing can u please tell me where i can get a program to fix the problem thanks alot??
