Plantronics Pulsar 590A and Widcomm 5.1.0.1100

hi

I've successfully installed these drivers on my Dell Truemobile 350 adaptor and paired my headphones/headset but although the headset profile connects and works fine when I try to 'connect stereo audio' the system tray icons illuminates briefly as if connecting but the connection fails.

I tried uninstalling the widcomm stack and trying the original Toshiba stack and sucessfully managed to connect using both the headset profile and audio sink so I know it's possible with this adaptor.

Anyone successfully use this headphone set with these drivers?

cheers
damole

Truemobile 350 installation

Well I found this forum after reading this thread

http://www.notebookforums.com/thread130179.html

which included the link to remove the annoying (to me) habit of XP trying to load it's own drivers which is the first thing I would recommend to do.

Then I downloaded the file

http://rapidshare.de/files/19917941/...tcher.zip.html

Unzip the drivers, overwrite the btwusb.inf with one that contains the details of the Truemobile 350 device which can be found here

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...8&postcount=12

and install them. When prompted that the device cannot be found click cancel and continue to the end. Then run the included license patcher, my device was at the bottom of the pull down list, VendorID 413C and that was it. The blue system tray icon will ask you to start the device for the first time and then you should be away.

All of this information has been extracted from the work of others in this forum and this is just the way I used it during my own installation.

Plan B

Well I finally gave up on expecting to get the 350 and .1100 combination to work so I ordered a Dell Truemobile 355 a few days ago which used the Broadcomm chipset so I will be able to use the latest drivers.

Hopefully I'll have some good news to report back in a few days.

Now Plantronics 590A, Dell Truemobile 355 and 5.1.0.1700

Well the 355 arrived this morning and after a couple of attempts I got the drivers installed and everything seems to work. The key was getting the correct .inf file which I found in the .1700 Final Release thread http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/atta...1&d=1157203006

It works with my Sony Ericsson K750i and my Palm T3 too so so far so good.

Now it will connect to the Stereo audio profile and Hand Free simultaneously and also mute my music automatically when I make a Skype call . I'm not sure about the sound quality yet but I haven't had much chance to make any comparisons.

Thanks to all for getting these drivers and providing all the invaluable information about getting them to work.
