Widcomm 4.0.1.700 2 Attachment(s) The installation for the drivers can be downloaded here http://www.mobidick.biz/downloads.shtml and the Patched files are attached. New profiles included: * GAVDP -- Generic Audio Video Distribution Profile * A2DP -- Advanced Audio Distribution Profile * AVRCP -- Audio Video Remote Control Profile |
Thanks a lot Phantasm4489. It works well with the internal bluetooth on thinkpad t42. In Local Services and Client Applications, it doesn't seem to have new entries for A2DP. There's still the old Audio Gateway and Headset. Is that normal? I was hoping to use the new stack with a stereo headphone. |
I get the same thing, but I dont know what the requirements are for these extra profiles. I have no idea if they only work with bluetooth 1.2 or not. Same with with the BIP (basic imaging profile) from the widcomm version 3.0, that also doesnt appear in the tray list. |
I do have "Bluetooth Imaging" in both Local Services and Client Applications in 4.0. Do you not have that? My internal bluetooth is supposed to support bluetooth 1.2. I am afraid that A2DP needs additional hardware support, or this stack only has A2DP on Broadcom hardware ... Anyway, my MX900 mouse works much better now in terms of mouse movement. I was using XP SP2 bluetooth stack. |
Widcomm 4.0.1.700 Nope I dont even get Bluetooth Imaging. |
Oh I spoke too soon. The patched 4.0 fails to find a bluetooth device everytime I restart Windows XP (SP2). If I turn off the bluetooth radio and turn it back on, the 4.0 stack will recongnize it. |
I'M interested in the A2DP features for my Bluetake I-Phono stereo headphones too. I'd like to be able to listen to stereo recordings without using the dongle. Any luck, auvi? My silly question is how do I incorporate the patched files into the Widcomm 4 update. Currently I have an old Widcomm (from jons guide) for my internal radio on a Sony Vaio S. |
One problem that i found with this version was that in games the mouse fails to fire continuously... The mouse isn't bluetooth... Probably something to do with driver hooks for bluetooth hid? |
Big thanks Phantasm4489. Great gift for the New Year. The v3.0.1.905 was quite stable for me, though I get that annoying "Error" everytime I connect to the serial port on XP SP2. I'd like to see if that get fixed in this version. Hmm, I guess there's a typo in the thread title, which says v4.0.1.900 but it's actually v4.0.1.700. Somehow, I have this feeling the bigger numbers are better, so I hope this one performs better than v3.x.x.x Still crawling on 56K but GetRight will be done with this thing in about 2 hours time. Can't wait to test it. Big thanks again dude :D |
hi good work, it works good with an csr dongle but it doesn't accept an bt hub from logitech e.g. for mx900, it install no driver for that. has anyone a idea why it doesn't accept that? BR Starvirus2 |

Hey, I'm getting license.dat message - using Alps sony vaio internal BT module. I have followed your instructions on copy of four patched files. Any Ideas? Thanks |
Tested. And my personal verdict: 10/10 *****(5 stars) a must-have. The "Error" on Serial port COM connect I am having in v3.x.x.x is gone in this new version. Tip: If you have version v3.x.x.x, you will actually have an "Upgrade" option if you run Setup.exe on top of an existing installation, might also be true with v1.x.x.x. So I gave it a try, and the upgrade process was quite smooth. Just boot to safe mode and do the patching and start enjoying v4.x.x.x on your next boot. It's really worth the time and effort (imagine 30MB on dial-up!! :D wheew! but no regrets :D) Big thanks again to Phantasm4489 :D |
license.dat problem what software should I use to patch the files? Should the patched files provided do it or i need to do it again? Thanks |
