Member: 272201 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi, My knowledge about Bluetooth is limited. By reading through these forums here I've managed to get this 5.0.1.2500 stack to work with my MSI MS-6967 dongle. It all installed well and all seems to work. I can use ActiveSync over BT to sync with my Smartphone. I can not get the A2DP profile to work with my Nokia HS-12W stereo BT headset. It worked with the trial version of IVT-Bluesoleil but those drivers did not work with ActiveSync. Is is correct that A2DP might give problems? Is there a way to get high quality stereo to work? |

Member: 278368 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hey all, First of all I'd like to say thanks to the masters out there. You're work is definitely appreciated. ::bows:: Second, I've got the Logitech MX Desktop for Bluetooth, the one they pulled from their sales shelves not more than a year after releasing it. It's got the MX900(BT) and the Cordless Elite(BT). I assume, but I'm sure I'm right, that it has a BT 1.2 "dongle", as it's main hub. So my questions are: I'm trying to get it to work with A2DP I assume the bandwidth is enough? Or does A2DP only work with 2.0? Also, I'll reply as to how the upgrade goes as I'm upgrading right now. For all who don't know: The best place to get setpoint isn't their website its thier ftp. ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/ Well just as said before the process is pretty simple: Download Setpoint 2.60 with and without bt. Install Setpoint 2.60 w/o bt. Start the installer for 2.60 w/bt. Don't hit next. Go to your temp drive steal the WIDCOMM drivers. Restart computer. Install WIDCOMM Drivers. No restart necessary. Install Setpoint 2.60 w/bt. Restart. Things should work fine from there. Last edited by noneknome; 05-18-2006 at 06:20. |

Member: 278368 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | HCI 1.2? What Set do you have again? I have the MX900 set and it's got HCI 1.1, but supposedly states it supports 1.2. *runs to check the box yet again* Edit: I read closer and noticed you're not using the logitech bt hub. That'd explain why the HCI was 1.2. Sigh I think I'm losing here. The thing is the pairing works fine. Heck using the headphones as a gateway (headset both audio and voice not stereo) works perfectly. It just doesn't work with stereo. |

Member: 42973 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | This is what I have in Widcomm Diags. I am using MX5000 k/b and MX1000 Mouse. But most importantly I am not using the Logitech Dongle .. I am using the internal Notebook Bluetooth Adapter. I suspect your problems are due to old firmware on your dongle.. you will probably save yourself alot of trouble if you can get a more recent dongle. |

Member: 278368 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Oh yeah, mine doesn't look anything like that. What bothers me is what I don't know, For example: Taken from: Set Whats new in the included Widcomm Bluetooth Software: New WIDCOMM Bluetooth software BTW 3.0.1.913 in this web release. Stack is Bluetooth 1.2 compatible. Faster connection. Blah blah... Yet I have: (See Picture) So does this mean the set is 1.1? 1.2? Or a bunch of lies? hehe If it's 1.2 is there a way I can flash the firmware? If so, where do I get an update? I mean I did a ******** search for the past couple hours and it seems like I'm the only one in the world who's still using the logitech bt hub. I could understand it as it's not even 2.0 but, I figured I wouldn't be alone since it's tied to a line of great keyboard bundles. |

Member: 203880 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | This version works fine with Windows Vista build 5365 (without hangs or BSOD with previous versions in a clean install). It detects my device as a BCM92045PG Flash. My dongle is a TrendNet 8M 07b8:b02a (originally with 4M flash but it has a 8M chip -- all the v1.2 is dual boot hci/hid and 8m, flashed with dfutool in linux). I needed to edit the INF file from b02b or b02c to b02a. I have also used hid2hci successfully with "hid2hci 07b8 1000" (my dongle has been upgraded to v1.2 dual boot) I think to get hid2hci to work you need to disable the UAP/Windows defender. I am now able listen to Microsoft Anna with my headset using Textaloud. The next project is to disassemble the headset and convert it into a boom mic (with some soldering) for use in Dragon naturally speaking. The volume of the Bluetooth headset is too low for dictation because it is too far away. The HBH-300 or VXI is too expensive. Has anyone tried this before? Member: 278368 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | takkyhide, I don't know much about the software of your phone but try connecting via the profiles before using the phone software and seeing what happens. ngvuanh, The stack in the MX900's hub is actually a 1.1 Bt stack. The hardware is "Compatible" with 1.2 but certain features just don't work. Using the trick I mentioned will get you the upgraded drivers but it won't be able to use any of the new features. The bandwidth isn't high enough. insiide_out, Don't take my word for it, but I don't know if it's possible to just add a profile like that. IIRC, the profiles are driver related and will be accessible if and only if the hardware supports it. To add a profile all you'd have to do is upgrade the drivers. It's whether the dongle can support the profile. Now I'm not sure thats right this is what I've gathered from 3h with tech support and my own testing. |

Member: 281047 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | widcomm (5.0.1.2500) drivers from patched release. It was almost pleasure to install, but I guess I still got it wrong. I had to change manually to "CSR USB bluetooth device) widcomm driver (checked, and now it is right version) I can send & receive files, though I have to enable connection manually (tray icon doesnt turn green automaticly when i boot up). I can also use my mobile as internet gateway thru BT&GPRS. WHAT really bugs me, is that Oxygen phonemanager doesnt work, it simply cannot find my phone. Also "control panel/bluetooth devices/" doesnt work. Nor it does show any devices, nor are you able to make any adjustments. If I try to change anything, Ill get error: "an error occured while windows was saving your setting. the following settings were not saved: - discoverability settings - connection settings". oh and dongle was: Epox BT-DG06 USB adapter-T Last edited by raakku; 06-07-2006 at 00:03. |

Member: 291259 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Billionton CF Adapter Hi all, I went through different posts and Google and I can't get it to work. My card is a Billionton Compact Flash card (i am using it on Sony U70). When I installed the original, it told me it couldn't start the card. When I right clicked the Bluetooth icon, only option was "Start using bluetooth" (Bluetooth icon was white/blue, so it was recognizing card at least. So I uninstalled, reboot, and give a shot with 5.0.1.2500. This time, the icon is red and the program files\widcomm\bluetooth software\bin does not contain the btpcbcsp.inf and sys, so I used them from the original install. Still no luck. Should I switch to Bluesoleil (my previous exp with it, when I used a Socket CF 2 years ago was not that good), or is there anything else I can try? Thx, PalMop |
