| Widcomm 6.3.0.6800 and Windows 7 clean install I just clean installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my desktop PC which has a Belkin Broadcomm based adapter. WIndows of course installed it's own drivers but I like the WIDCOMM stack I am using on the same machine with XP. I used SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe to update the drivers, it recognized my adapter and downloaded the drivers and went through the install process but I was left with a 'Bluetooth Problem Report' shortcut on my desktop and when I click the bluetooth icon in the notification area I see the Windows Bluetooth software. My question is does the Windows 7 WIDCOMM software look pretty much the same as the XP version? (A screen shot would be nice) How to remove/disable the Windows 7 drivers so that they cannot be installed again? I've had my copy of Windows 7 sitting on a shelf for well over a year because this is a gaming machine and I've been waiting for newer versions of games and proper drivers for my Creative X-Fi card. As such I'm still pretty new at Windows 7 stuff. |

| Widcomm for Windows 7 is not the same as the XP version. It is an extension of the native Windows 7 Bluetooth stack. That's why you don't see a big difference at the interface level. However, you'll have new drivers (by Broadcom), improved functionality, more BT services supported. |
