After factory rerset it gives:

phone startup failure
Contact retailer

How to fix ???

Hi to all. 6600 case solving whole afternoon. 6600 cables delivered with Matrix need to be modified. There is middle contact in service battery on the connector. You need open the 6600 connector and solder out the wire from the middle point (between plus (+) and minus (-)) THIS BSI wire need to be connected the RESISTOR 2K2, and the second part of resistor leads to BSI on the connector. After this moddification, you can power on the phone on the service battery and put the PHONE to TEST MODE, READ INFO , etc w/o switching off the phone after manual power on. In FACT there is NOKIA TRICK to FORMAT user area in Symbians Phones. Press GREEN BUTTON, *, and 3 on the 6600 phone than power on button while keeping pressed all the 3 buttons, the phone start up formating user AREA itself w/o any wires - it means - this ought to help. Please comment.

Hi roman here are many people from all Europe and some are not technical as other if you can you take a photo and show them the work that have to be than? for me problem solved because a week ago i received the wire and works

Phone worked after restet 7650 user....

Can this mod also be used in the 3650 cable, because this also has difficulties entering Local-, Test- and Normal mode?

Maybe something for the Matrix Team to think about....

how long (minutes) does it take to format using the keypad sequence?
it shows formatting and a progress bar as large as the whole screen and after 10 sec it's getting blocked (no pregress on progress bar

)

Formating process takes about 2 minutes for me. Progress bar went to end of display.

I don't have this resistor in my self made cable and powering phone also switching between modes work perfectly

Matrix buddy's,

All WD4 phones , after ''phone start up failure'' , need press twice in ''N'' (normal mode) , after that just press ''T'' (test mode) and you will see [GLOW=royalblue]NOKIA[/GLOW] , after that u can make all reset's . . .

PS- Pay attention , if u flashed phone make sure u maked ''after flash'' with same pack u flashed phone , if not , u may never remove ''start up failure''
