| Many people asks about our new features added to our Matrix flasher. The truth is as follow: Matrix uses different software for DCT3 phones called DCT3 Matrix and Matrix.exe itselves for all DCT4 phones. We have followed Nokia guys as they useing WINTESLA for DCT3 and PHOENIX for DCT4. The IMEI rebuilder simply works now with same hardware. The IMEI SW is stand alone and we call this SW "TRISHA" as on the very begining. There are changes only in PROCESSOR FIRMWARE that recognize what type of HARDWARE you have got bought. It is simple to upgrade our FLASHER to IMEI rebuilder now if needed. Trisha is well tested by many satisfied customers all around the world. Future support is clear because we are the authors of TRISHA, the best IMEI rebuilder ever after. Do not hesitate to ask your q. Regards Roman |

| Correct, KOCI is right, IMEI rebulder is in fact able to repair your 8310, but you have to know your ORIGINAL IMEI as well and it is done by so called "ASK" file. The ask file contains type of the phone, type of UEM and finaly your IMEI. All this is calculated in NOKIA's ROBOT. ROBOT than sends back so called "RPL" file that TRISHA software works with. There you go and repaired 8310 is alive again. I'm including my article from our web page. IMEI REBUILD ON DCT4 PHONES IMEI Change with MatrixFlasher. DCT3 phones - there is no problem changing IMEI with DCT3Matrixflasher.exe software that is required to put into Wintesla folder. Simbian's 9210 and 9210i phones are easy to handle with DCT3Matrixflasher.exe software to change IMEI as well.(c)(c)DCT4 phones - there is required from many countries local law that any new GSM phone ought to have pernament IMEI. It is good both for GSM providers and local Police tech. dept. Nokia's Research and Developement have done good job on this field. Changing IMEI on DCT4 phones is not such fun like on the DCT3 types. From the very rough simplicity immagine, that there is each IMEI on DCT 4 phones stored in FLASH memory, the emulated EEPROM area like in DCT3 phones. So far so good. If you look on PCB plate of DCT4 Nokia Phone you will recognize Flash memories, processor, dsp, and UEM CHIP. The last one is security chip that keeps information about IMEI checksum and other security info. It is BIG BGA chip with many many legs. The type of UEM CHIP you can get in READ INFO in MatrixFlasher.EXE software. Changing IMEI without CHANGING this UEM# chip is now not possible. May be that someone say - checking is done by Phone firmware so why not to trace Phone FIRMWARE to cut this procedure. Good question. The truth is that Nokia R&D's knows that there is a lot of skillfull people arround and that they can read and Trace Phones Firmware to cut NETWORK locks or IMEI# change checksums and other security and other things. So you ask : ....and what is up... Well - Try this: take any editor and try to read any DCT4 installed file. All you can get are scrambled data. This is simply Another Nokia fuse to prevent phones Hacking. Try to think over, why there is so few Nokia Phones locked by GSM provider for smile price on GSM market. The answer is clear. So back to IMEI Change. There are a few IMEI DCT4 changer on the market. But we ought to call such devices more sharp. We ought to call them DCT4 IMEI rebuilders (burners). Burning the DCT4 IMEI is very similar to flashing procedure with different security instructions. We burn the checksum into UEM and IMEI into emulated EEPROM. No one knows (except a few guys from Nokia's R&D) what is inside of UEM processor. We can guess only that there is no PROM inside UEM but FLASH memory and the only reason why we can not erase this BGA UEM processor is that we do not know exact sequence of security instructions set to do so. Till we know how to erase UEM, we ought to call DCT4 IMEI rebuilder (burner). Yes - simply rebuilder (burner) only due to 1) we have to get empty DCT4 plates from factory or at 2) we have to replace UEM programmed processor for empty one. UEM costs about $8 Chip is cheap but as usual "work" like hot air soldering is the most expensive. There is many good tools for such hard work on the market in nowadays and you can easily get learned all this skills but anyhow it takes time - and time is money... If you decide to use MatrixFlasher to burn IMEI - by the way it works with Simbian's 7650 and 3650 phones too, you can use Trisha Software to do so. There is Extra money reqired for this option but we do this procedure well. You ought to know one more thing, like mentioned above there is security checksum mount in the DCT4 IMEI and it is still Nokia's secret so you will obtain a set of dozens of IMEI already calculate by NOKIA's robot from .ask files - those files are .rpl files contains all info regarding type of your Phone and UEM version. This Robot is often used if Flash IC is replaced or if someone erased accidentaly Flash Secuity Area kept in the Emulated EEPROM area of the DCT4 Device. I hope it is now more than clear. Shortly - burning IMEI is fun with us but not changing in nowadays. Well done Nokia's guys, well done. Author: Roman, Digitec |

When I change the UEM from a dct4 phone, and use phoenix to "rebuild" uem, I can choose ANY rpl file in my archrive. When I than look in *#06# the imei will be the one in RPL file. When I check with *#war0anty# I will have its original imei. So in the case of PALI (referring to *#06#) I think it is NOT possible to "rebuild" without the change of UEM (unless it is factory PCB (emty board) and DOESNT power off within 35 seconds) Whenever I change the flash IC I dont necacarry need to "rebuild" the imei. Most important than is to fix the simlocks and calibrate the phone (energy and RF part) Nokia service centers must "rebuild" it cause phoenix CANNOT directly reset the simlock data. But whenever using *#war0anty# it will be the 00000000000000 imei (*#06# = original (if uem was not changed!) | ||

| You need to read your UEM = original = to get "ASK" file and let us calculate to "RPL" file, than it works, both imei are same and the phone is repaired |
