CNT and PM? - GSM-Forum

I have a Nokia 6230 that somebody has played with. Nothing happens when turning it on (only white light in display). It's not a hardware error, but has something to do with bad flashing or something like that.

I've tried to flash MCU and PPM (with rh12_28_11005.240 and rh12_28_11005.24a), but it doesn't help. Resetting one or all of the UI settings doesn't help either.

I've never used CNT and PM, since I don't know what these do, and how to use them. I think one or both of these is the ones, that have been played with.

Which files should I add to CNT and PM?

Actually I can enter my PIN code, and make a call afterwards. I just can't see anything in the display (besides some stars when entering PIN code, and a big black square when dialing).

Somehow I fixed the problem. The phone works fine now, almost. Everything works fine (all that I have tested), but the phone crashed, when selecting "E-mail". Any idea how to fix this?

I would like to debrand the phone totally. Right now right key is "branded". I can select another option, but would like to get rid of the "branded" option - it shouldn't even be selectable anymore. I would also like standard pictures as well. Nobody should see this is (was!) a branded phone :-) How do I do that? Has is something to do with CNT and PM?

Try flashing CNT with rh12_28_11005.24.ucp_a - that should do the trick
