Flash files advice needed.... - GSM-Forum

Right ive just got a few questions about the different flash files..

The package i'm using as an example is the RM72 6230i v3.81

When you extract it you get a whole heap of files... I understand about MCU and PPM files but just wanted to know a bit about the various other files aswell... any advice would be greatly appreciated..

1. What is the difference between E and M files
e.g.
rm72_73_110E_03.81b
rm72_73_110M_03.81b

2. The CNT files i think i have sussed but just to get it clear

rm72_73_110E_03.81.ucp_b <--- is this unbranded b language pack ?
rm72_73_110E_03.81.ucp_meteor <--- this is meteor branded ?

.wug files... where would you use these ? I know it stands for wake up graphics just not sure where to use them...

.ui files.. where are these used

there's a 2 more odd ones .upf, .ppu

Any advice on the above would be greatly appreciated

rm72_73_110M_03.81b

The difference between these two is that the new phones have been made with some difference in hardware from the old so these phone use the M files on the other hand the old phones with the previous hardware will use the E files.

About the CNT files u r right.

.upf don't know anything about these

.ppu <... are these PM files ?
