Help with upgrading firmware... - GSM-Forum

Ok... I thought I'd solved all my problems with the help of unisoft and bungle..

I tried the codes for my USB Tornado Flasher (UFS-3) and they worked... However having installed Dctx_ufs_13i, it tells me I need to upgrade my firmware to version V2.6.7 or higher to make the software work properly. I click yes to upgrade and it comes up with the following message:

Error:
Unexpected Exception: Upgrade Init Fail!

I gather I need to get hold of a .req file, do something with it and send it back to my reseller (GSM-tech - Absolutley useless, don't buy anything from them) who will then send me back a .fbi file and a golden nugget. I then do something with the .fbi file which will give my little silver box the ability to work properly with the software. The golden nugget I then swap for 5 magic beans that grow into a beanstalk leading up to a mean giant who wants to eat me, and my little silver box of tricks... But my silver box of tricks will be ok, as I won't be taking it with me as I fear that it will get consigned to my wardrobe or will end up in two or more pieces on the floor... That is unless someone can tell me:

HOW TO UPGRADE MY FIRMWARE!!!

Is there an idiots guide??

You help would be appreciated kindly

ln the last tab there's a button that says update firmware

just press that button and locate the fbi file

ok
do like this

1- in the UFSX tab you will find a button called " Update firmware" click it

2- a pop up window will apear with " are you sure ........"
click yes
3- you will have a open window chose file Req.fbi
4- the program will make a file 2ith your box serial ended with Req like 12345.req

5-wait till the program finish and you got "this file is one time use " message in the result windo

6-now take your req file from the phonex folder " 12345.req" send it to reseler

and that's it

I cannot find the .fbi file anywhere

I have done a search on my hard drive and it came up with nothing.

Can I download this file, or can I get it emailed to me? My email address is mildred_iii@hotmail.com
