Problem while installing HWK/UFS Box on other PC - GSM-Forum

Hi Saras Boxes Support Team,

I have purchased the HWK/UFS Box, successfully installed it on my Windows 7 PC and worked with it for some time.

Then I had to connect the box to other Windows 7 PC.

I have done the following.

1. Connected the box to the computer.
2. Installed the latest available HWK Support Suite (v. 02.2.000) and USB drivers.
3. Launched the HWK Updater.
4. Started the HWK update. Here is the log of the process:

As you may see everything went OK.

5. Started the installation of HWK Major Suite (v. 02.2.000).

The installation failed with the following error: "Your PC contained Alien registry keys which have been removed. Update your HWK on PC with the latest Update Client".

The same error has appeared when I tried to install HWK Suite Minor (v. 02.20.001 or v. 02.20.002).

I have attempted to update HWK one more time and re-launch the installation of the HWK Suite. Also I have tried to clean the registry, reinstall the Support Suite, re-activate HWK and then launch the HWK Suite installation again. I have even tried to wait for several days and repeat the whole procedure. But none of this had helped.

When I attach the box to my first PC, reinstall the software packages and update HWK there everything is OK.

Could you please help me to solve this problem?

This is bcoz of reg problem

Need to Full format the PC > Update the OS & try the Process as you do

I have tried to delete the HKLM\Software\SarasSoft branch and also look for other registry entries containing HWK in their names. But this hasn't helped much.

Could you please suggest where else in the registry should I look?

I have installed Windows 7 on clean PC and tried to work with UFS box on it but met the same issue.

Finally I have decided to install Windows XP on that PC and it solved the problem.

I think this would be an acceptable solution for some time.

i v formated my pc with xp,service pack 2,window 7...n also tried removing registry files but same result..."Your pc contains alien registry keys which has been removes. so update ur box with latest update client" . I was getting the above error message. plzzzz help some1...
