Strange Ufs Problem And Repair!!! - GSM-Forum

One day when i connect UFS and my computer not recognize it. Setool2 also not recognize.

Solution:

1. I download it from ftdi site MPROG utility
2. Also uninstall all drivers using FTDI ... program named FTDICLEAN.EXE (sorry guys but i not remember from where get it ... use GOOGLE)

3. I try to connect UFS again but UFS not recognize original drivers
- install drivers from \Program Files\MPROG\Drivers and connect UFS

4. Start MPROG and "Scan" system
- MPROG found one device ... I read EEPROM on device and see VID and PID are standart for FTDI chip but NOT STANDART for UFS

(UFS comes with VID:0888 and PID:5508 .... SEE INI FILE INTO UFS DRIVERS DIRECTORY)

5. Into MPROG -> File/New
- Device Type -> FT232BM
- USB VID/PID -> Own VID & PID
- Vendor ID -> 0888
- Product ID -> 5508
- USB Version number -> USB 1.1
- Check "Use Fixed Serial Number"
- Enter into EDIT BOX your serial number located on UFS cover
- Manifacturer -> UFS2
- Product description -> UFS2 SarasSoft
- Uncheck "Only Program Blank Devices"
6. Into MPROG - File/Save ... to save template for future use and for unlock function "Device/Program"
7. Into Mprog - Device/Program ... to program eeprom
8. Close Mprog and disconnect UFS from cable
9. Connect UFS to cable and now UFS recognize OWN drivers

.... and VOILA ... ALL WORKS!!!

after returnin ufs from darkness... need to recalc licenses via server! contact reseller if have problem...

WARNING: Licenses must be recalculated only 5 WAYS.

No Devices Found
any broblems with this box

INSTALL ORIGINAL DRIVERS FROM MPROG!!!

in other u will not see FTDI

Sorry,I've already read your previous posts about FTDI resource

but in this case you are totally wrong

Including your current box driver is origin UFS2 driver then Mprog still can see your device normally

"TOTALY WRONG" - verry powerfull words ....

no idea which driver version i use. for me easy are to use MPROG driver because EXE see BOX.

... or not get steps from my post, get only idea!

Thats means your external e2prom content has been corrupted.
In this case Mprog can't repair your box.
Just write a good content to your external e2prom 93C46 with any external prommer(Ex:Labtool 48,..)
If you don't have any good image file in your hands,just let me know then I will send it to you.

Excuse me , Did u try to find FTDICLEAN with GOOGLE.
i am Sure -nOt tried as Look what Google Say:-
Your search - FTDICLEAN.exe - did not match any documents.

If u have this file whydont u upload it here.

nice trick

worked with me without uninstalling old drivers also without enter actuall serial (coz i dont know it)
u can change serial to original after that

so like i was saying, i tried to flash a 3315 nokia and after sayin flash erase, the software and box went to idle mode and the phone went dead. it would not flash again. it started giving error- unknown flash manufacturer. please can anybody help me? would reaaly appreciate all the help i can get . thanks a million in advance!

I have demaged my ufs with vygis programer and easely repaired with your solution
I have downloaded everithing from http://www.ftdichip.com/Resources/Utilities.htm
and use ufs3tools269b to fix SN.
