6230 unlock codes not working

Hi

Am at work and does not have my 6230 cable with me. A colleague wanted me to unlock his 6230 phone but when i use the code calculator and enter the codes absolutely nothing happens...Normally when i enter the last # the phone will say restriction off or wrong code or something but now the full string is just on screen and nothing happens..

Have used this method before with 6230 but with this phone it does not work.

I will offcourse just put the cable on when i get home but it annoys me a bit ?

Anyone know if it is a "bug" in the software in the phone (5.35) or it is a problem that is with this phone only. ?

Does this mean that people that buys these phones locked need to send them by mail to their cell network provider to get them unlocked when the lock period ends ??

Sounds really weird that they cannot be opened by some sort of code...

Oh well, it is just good business for us that they cannot be opened codes

Well, actually guys tell me that if you put a not accepted SIM into the phone, the phone will display an edit box where you can enter the NCK. Sadly I failed to open the phone that way as well, that's why I used cable...
