How to upgrade 6230 to 4.28 - GSM-Forum

Hi all
How can you upgrade 6230 to 4.28 I have full flash from nokia but when you select MCU PPM UCT and press flash windows bleeps error and twister just sits forever whats the problem anyone know how to sort this.

Same problem here....i just buyed a twister a week ago and cannot flash Nokia 6230 v3.15!!!!
This is not good.......

Hi,
i have update 2 6230 to v4.28 on 2 Twisters and it´s work for me!

But the Galery is empty although I flash content pack.

there is no point showing screen of twisterflasher there is no error that shows in twisterflasher.

when you connect to twister everything works well CHECK and INFO all work well UIOPTIONS works well, when you press flash twister resets power to phone and windows just bleeps error twister will not enter flash mode so we cannot flash any 6230 with any flash.

This is driving me nuts I have upgraded 4 x 6230 last month with no problems but today I can do everything except flash when I try to flash twister will not go any further I even got a cable from a griffin and its still the same.

try to update FIA files (reinstall). i had same problem with other models - the flash proces does not start after boot and there is no error message. i'll try to make a screen shot next time. installed FIA and was all OK. hope it helps you

question: after installing new flash pack (version update) the FIA files must be also reinstalled?

I reinstalled everything but still no joy 6230s still sit and will not flash same as before.

Which update FIA package did you install? is it on the server?

other DCT4s have no problems I have even rewired a spare cable and as before everything works INFO CHECK and UISETTINGS, but no flash.

maybe I should get another flasher for these problem models.

i use flash_update_03_09_002-apr13-160640.exe FIA pack, i have now a small problem with server but try to check it out maybe there is newer version. i updated v3.15 (don't remember flash type) to v4.28 without any problem.

if you cand afford all the tools available in the market (or at least 2-3) just buy them

but my opinion is that twister is verry powerfull tool, especially the nokia module, never had serious problems with it. i couldn't help to notice that your box counter is only at 79. after few xxx more you'll find the secrets behind this software. you don't really have other ways.
and i'm also sure that with the help form the guys here you'll find the way to work it out

I have only recently got the twisterflasher I had a Neelix 3 but I left it with an Ex friend so I am far from a begginner

,but some of the bugs that twisterflasher performs baffles me.
I was just checking which FIA package you had installed as I have installed the same but it still will not flash these 6230s at all.
I am at a loss now what to do next, I know its nice to have all the tools but I hate to be beat by a problem and it can work out very expensive to keep buying new boxes to do what old box should do.

does anyone else have a solution.

PS: I also reset my counter now and again with "Nokiaconnectingpeople"

Guys surprise

I tried today to downgrade it, and i got same error. You guys are right! I will have a look tomorow exactly what could be the mistake and i will post here the results.

Thank goodness for that at least the problem is with some boxes and not others maybe this is only on the newer boxes some people seem to have problem while others are working fine, or maybe a combination of both new boxes and new update 1.23.

I've just tried to downgrade a 6230 bout 10mins ago and the same prob.....

It seems this version 1.23 has many bugs..... Saras should do something bout it in the next version..

I dont know that this is a problem with 1.23 software as I downgraded my box to 1.21 and it still wont work

you will need your activation keys 1.21 and activation keys 1.23 to downgrade and then return back to 1.23.
