New SE server logs cable question

Hi

Ordered a serial cable for unlocking K500 and K700 with the free logs i have received ..

BUT the fools sent me a USB SE cable instead of a COM cable..

Can i use the USB cable or should i get it exchanged..

i think: just give it a try!
the proggy is a davinci clone and since 25.11.04 its possible to use dcu-11 usb cable with original davinci logger!
also fighter cable and for sure t28 com cable worked fine for me!

But can i use the davinci program with my 5 free logs from this site ?

If not, how will i use the program from this site, it is version 2.12 and i cannot choose anything but COM1 ...

Maybe there will be an update to the program at some poing ?

no, you definately CAN NOT use original davinci soft with your logs!!!
just the one you can download from twister support site!
i used it with fighter cable and flashed my k7ooi with davinci files r4ae033, wich were not available on the support site.
maybe you have just com1 available because you did not install any other cables yet!?

Only have COM 1 available because i only have 1 comport in my computer but that is no problem as it is unused until now :-)

Will just have to get them to send me the cable i ordered in the first place..

if you try to install your usb datacable your system will create a virtual com port wich should be shown in the logger proggy, too! but can´t tell you if the cable works with this logger version although i havent got one to give it a try!

Thanks man, never thought of that myself :-)

Cable plugged in, driver installed and now i have another COM port...I just thought that the program needed to support USB cable did not think the cable was so "advanced" that it had it's own comport built in..

Hmm that is still to be found out..

I am just a small unlocker, have not got THAT many *******rs and have not adverticed with my abilities because i did not have the cable. Now i want to try it out but have to wait until someone comes along with a phone to try it on..

But atleast it installs as com3 and i can choose com3 in the program....Now i just need new logs as it seems that the old user details were deleted due to some hacker attack ?
