Siemens Unlocking Procedure using Feria - GSM-Forum

HI,
Is this correct, Testpoints need to be cut for unlocking to work.

Are these steps correct!

>> cut test point
>> run twister feria
>> connect phone
>> select phone model
>> leave speed to 115200
>> set boot Type to normal
>> and press unlock

not every phone needs it! Only phones with new bootcore!

And on more thing... Old activation keys for Siemens phones still work for freia. So no update there

Select BootType: Normal
Set Baud to 115k (old phones doesn't work faster)

Phone is powered off!
Press unlock
wait if freia shows: COMM_LoadBoots : Waiting to power on the phone ...

press the red key (power on key) shortly! The phones does not switch on!

wait some seconds. And if freia shows: ok

now ur phone is unlocked!

Set Baud maximal to 460,8k

Phone is powered off!
Press unlock
wait if freia shows: COMM_LoadBoots : Waiting to power on the phone ...

press the red key (power on key) shortly! The phones does not switch on!

wait some seconds. And if freia shows: ok

now ur phone is unlocked!

If u get: COMM_SendBoot : boot file is not accepted

u know that ur phones has got a new bootcore! That means that the Bootcore bug to load the phone is fixed!

Now u have to make a bug to boot the phone!

If ur phone supports Java u can patch the bootcore with a liitle Java midlet.

Download px5amd. Upload this midlet with programs like VieSie , S25@once or Siemens Data Exchange Software / Siemens Data Suite.

U have to upload a DIR with the *.jad and *.jar File to mobile/Java/Jam/

Know Power on the phone and go to Menu-->Surf&Fun-->Games&More-->"Dir name"

now u r runnig the midlet. U can see a white screen now! Type in: 39116 and choose 2 for patching. After patching the phone is rebboting.
Now u have to write a old Bootcore with bug (read/write is possible now)! "Select flash file"! Load the old bootcore! Now selcted "Bootcore" for "flashing adress". Press "write flash to phone" and power on the phone shortly again! After that u can choose "unlock"! press power on shortly again. Now ur phone is unlocked!

If ur phone doesn't support Java or u don't have a working SimCard

U have to make testpoint! In the most cases is the testpoint a little track that must been cuttet. Sometimes it is a resistor which have to connect to GND too!

after u have done that make normal unlock, as i have dicibed it abov, again!

Do we need to select patched bootcore while flashing phone wth old bootcore_with_bug or booting option is of no importance for flashing to work properly whether its main flash or eeprom or bootcore.

When do we expect needed files to be available for download??

Just try it

If the bootcore configuration is wrong u only can get "bootfile is not accptet"

If it is right u can write the bootcore! So nothing can happen if u select the wront bootconfig!

I have one more request to you regarding Siemens. Can you post which models have / don't have Java and starting what firmware you have to do what?
