If i am not mistaken the Sony Ericsson phone works like this.. There is a OTP imei in the phone and a serial in the flash area.. The OTP imei cannot be changed as it is read only (Possibly even embedded at read only in the processor). For the phone to work both OTP and FLASH imei numbers must match.. All the patched version does is disable the compare of OTP and FLASH imei and only use the FLASH imei as phone imei.. If this is true nothing would be gained of downgrading and upgrading as the only reason the older versions work is because of the disabled OTP check and compare.. Upgrading would not change OTP imei and new software is not patched so it would still do compare.. Twisterfan | |
