D500 Active Slide Not Working Solution! - GSM-Forum

I have a customers phone the problem with it is that the active slide no longer works. On opening orclosing it you cannot answer or end calls anymore.

It looks like the body has been changed at some point because there is no back sticker and the body looks in very good condition.

Any advise would be great.

easy this one

If the housing has being changed they have forgot to swap over the little but if metal that actiavtes the slide function, it will be in the old housing near were the lcd sites at the bottom off the housing under a black bit off tape.

Any idea what it can be replaced with.
As I dont have the old chasis and I guess the customer doesnt either.

Would it be a small bit of metal or a magnet

Have you got a copy of a service manual for the d500 so I can see exactly where ths part sits.
