D500 LCD Problem

Hi.

Changed an LCD an a D500, all was fine all working after change. Noticed the slider was slightly sticky, so decided to take apart agin and have a look. Since putting the phone back together, it is dead. Have checked the ribbon etc, no signs of damage. Any ideas??

Regards

Ive Got a D500 with the exact same problem mate. My mate smashed his lcd on his so took my main pcb out and put his in to get a couple of important numbers. Then put mine back together all ok.

Then he wanted another number so did it again and when i put my pcb back in this time its dead wont power on or anything. Have tryed flashing it wont even flash.

Yet when i put my mates pcb in works fine so defintley is something to do with pcb.

Rough rider, thanks for the reply, just hope that hasn't happened here!!

Wil let you know if I get it up and running, expecting TST in tomorrow.

lol@JOHNNYWHIT

No mate it was an indian electronic shop who's son has decided he can unlock phones. Except when they break them they ask me to repair them. Think I have been in the business long enough not to try to unlock a D500 with E700 UST, but thanks for the vote of confidence

Its very simple

even for someone Scottish. Just take the 4 screws out of the back. Take the flex out but be careful with the plastic as is prone to snap. Then you will see further screws on the other side of the phone. It is all straightforward just go for it and it all becomes apparent. Dont do it when you are drunk as heavy machinery is very dangerous.
