Member: 42007 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | D600 Keypad / Freezing Problem. I have a few D600's that have been liquid damaged. The liquid damage has been repaired but they all have one nagging problem. If you turn on the phone all the buttons work but if you press the 9 or the # buttons the phone freezes and then resets. If you remove the back cover the phone works perfectly. I can't find any area where the back cover shorts the board out. I have 3 units with this problem and I have done software and factory resets, removed Mic and side button flexes but no luck. If anyone has any ideas, please lets have it. Cheers BR gsm500 |

Member: 42007 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Hi Guy's Looks like I've solved the problem. I removed the resistor/cap just above the closest LED to 9 and #. Not sure if this was required but did it for good measure. Then I lifted the Mic and cleaned the PCB and underneath the Mic with a fibre pen and soldered it back. This sorted out the freezing up problem. Sorry for the lack of Pic's but I haven't got the service manual. Cheers BR gsm500 |
