D900 Just Keeps Flashing Up Samsung Screen - GSM-Forum

Help

My new D900 Phone just keeps recycling on startup, it flashes up the samsung startup screen then goes off then back on again and just keeps in this loop.
It was ok until I turned it off then all this started on the next switch on.
Anybody any ideas on a fix, or does it need flashing.

have the same problem but in my case occured when it got in contact with water. Flashed it with a full flash and still the same. When trying to unlock it TAT mode shows up and then TAT mode goes and wont unlock. Tried to see if it was a fault from the screen part maybe a short but same occurs without a screen. Unlocking fails completely.

Anyone having some info would help me save this one up?

Do u try to unlock whit manual code?

wont get in that state mate. Once pressed power D900 screen shows up and then restarts and keeps on going like this. Tried full flash and still the same.

Have you tried with another LCD ?

not LCD for sure. i tried to unlock the board (since this model does not need a battrey inserted to get in TAT mode) using nspro and got same result. IF it were from LCD guess it would have unlocked it ok.

I got this problem with a D600 that rebooted once the phone gets network , I changed lcd so it been all good

But if there is on the board I got no idea, so it means when you've flashed it you cannot reset the phone then right ?

Please even check if there is not short somewhere , especially on board 2 board connector pins

Dear just rehot normaly your mother board,i hope after reheating your problem will be solve.

sure i did reflow all the SMDs. There are only a couple of BGAs present :P

one last resort would be to use the ultrasonic bath since dont have parts to try and replace this D400 which seems to be responsible for power in this set.

Hmm too bad I don't know the D900 more than that !

But since it's water damged and oxydised, sure it'll be best to repair all contacts to get it working.

some update on this one.

managed to revive it .... dipped it back into water using sonic bath, dried it up, re-flowed ever part again and back to life.

However discovered that the charging port is ****ed up for good and need to replace it. Now the problem is that i cant find any of this damn ports
