d900 keypad issue!

Hey guys, I stumbled upon your board while trying to research a problem that came up in my d900.

After reading up on some archived posts regarding the 3,6,9,5,0 keys not working I fell onto an old post which said the problem was the flex ribbon.

I was really happy and I purchased the following off ebay( mods: if ebay links not allowed please edit or let me know i will edit asap, just for description of my issue) :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=300296900685

Which is the same flex ribbon I thought the problem was coming from, after changing the ribbon succesfully I powered on the d900 to find that the same issue was still present!

any help?

Thanks again

Hi

Have you tried replacing the keypad ribbon?
Its the one the sits under the plastic keypad.
If that does not solve the problem you will have to change the ics below the keypad ribbon connector. Have had this problem many times & always solved it using these two solutions.
Best of luck
