D900I Reboots when charging and doesn't switch on. Please HELP - GSM-Forum

I booked in a D900I for "not charging". Without checking the phone first, I replaced the system connector/charging block because it looked damaged.

When I tried charging the phone, the phone reboots and has no backlight.

If I try power the phone with a full battery, the bottom lights come on, I see the Samsung logo(no backlight though), then there is a puck sound and phone switches off.

I have tested the LCD and Flex on another board.
I have taken the charging block off and the power up problem remains.

Is there a solution?
I hope I didn't put too much heat on board.

Also which component is the power IC.
