Member: 149032 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3,808 | Default Samsung ZV-10 Hanging on Startup - Cure! I've had a few of these handsets in hanging on the startup screen. This sometimes following liquid damage and occasionally after a fall. Here's the method I used following days of research some credit must go to "monteriro-ribas" who's Z500 flashing procedure I've modified for the ZV-10 You'll need a ZV-10 full flash and ZV10 Multiloader V1.01. Google will help you find these. A Samsung ZV-10 or Z500 USB Cable (this is also the same as the LG 80xx cable). A Samsung ZV-10 or Z500 Serial Cable or JAF COM Emulator with LG 80xx cable. NSDongle Cracked OK here we go, you must get into Flash mode (or Download mode as Samsung call it) by holding the 9 key and then pressing the ON button. This will give a blank greenish screen and the ZV-10 will show "Download" on the front LCD. Flash the phone using ZV10 Multiloader V1.01 following the prompts. Be aware that flashing defaults the IMEI to 000000000000000 and if you try *#06# you just get IMEI Not Active. OK don't panic! I did! But now I know there was no need! You now need to connect a serial cable to the handset (I actually used JAF COM Emulator and a LG 81xx cable) and with the handset switched on type *#123580# now select option 9, then option 6 and then option 2. Which switches the handset into Qualcomm mode. Using NSDongle Cracked select Z100 and reset the IMEI to the one shown on the handsets label. Select the Z100 which works because there is no ZV-10 option in NSDongle Cracked. Once you have corrected the IMEI to the original you need to type *#123580# and select option 9, then option 6 and then option 1. This sets the handset back into normal Samsung USB mode. After doing all this, I then discovered that the Bluetooth function didn't work as it had a blank BT address. Again, don't worry this is easily solved but you'll have to guess a bluetooth address! The likelihood of guessing one that's already in use close by you is a few million to one and so shouldn't be a problem. You can set the bluetooth address without any software! With or without a SIM card inserted: 1. Type *#123580# 2. Press the Down Key Twice (x2) 3. Select 3 (BD ADDRESS) 4. Now Select 2 (WRITE BD ADDRESS) Now you can enter a BT address in two blocks of six (6) digits. For Example 001850 - Press OK and now type 908711 - PRESS OK This would give a BT address of: 00 18 50 90 87 11 Thats it! Now turn the phone OFF and then ON again - Bluetooth works! I hope this saves someone a few days of research and panicking! |
