E720 in water - how do I remove varistors?

I've read all the threads on this but can someone please explain how I remove the varistors? I've got the phone apart and tried a bit with tweezers but can't seem to get them off. Is there some technique to doing it? I'm just worried I'll end up breaking things.

Thanks guys
