Galaxy S3 (i9300) Baseband failure after Water Damage

Hi all,

First, i did not much Samsung repairs till now (only 5-6 water damaged S2 and 1-2 S3).

This time, i have an S3 on my table with middle strong water-damage. The Baseband doesn't work (no IMEI, no BB-Version, CP: unknown).

I ckecked CP_VSD1 (C342) =0.9~1.4V and CP_VSD2 (C344) = 1.8V ---->OK

I checked also for corrosion on Coils, shorted caps etc....but i didn't found anything bad.

Does anybody have an idea what this can be?

BR Matthias

Update: CP_VSD2 (C344) = 2.0V and VIO_1.2V = 1.6V and some other voltages around UCP300 seems to be a little bit higher than in the schematic specified. ???

No ideas? ...the voltages around the BB-CPU are ok, it was because i operated the board not on own Battery. Can it be a software problem?
