Member: 2055817 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Galaxy S3 i9300 Water Damage The phone is dead... No charge, No power. After taking some information in online I have the conclusion that it is U501 that is bad as there are no voltages across the capacitors it mentions to check. The shematic states it is a 3 PIN MOSFET but the component in place on the logic board is that of a 6 PIN format. Anyone any idea where to source this part from and am I right in assuming it is this part I need to replace? Thanks for your help |

Member: 2021120 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Water damaged s3 the manufacturer packaged the transistor in different package (6 pin package) but it is the right transistor actually they are 2 transistors look at page 120 of the service manual. As for the water damage changing this ic may not solve the problem because water problems are the worst thing that could happen to a cellphone because water can reach any where inside your phone and cause several problems. I hope this works for you... |
