Member: 1986185 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | Galaxy s5 screen I have ordered a couple of displays for the samsung galaxy s5 and upon the first start i immediately saw that the black background is not true black. When i disassembled the screen i see that it has a backlight. As we all know amoleds dont have a backlight but each pixel is individually lighted. They are taking advantage of us. Cheapest display for iphone 5/5s is arround 20usd or less, but the galaxy s5 one is 50usd+. I always thought that is because amoled is more expensive to produce but they sell us regular backlit lcds. I am still speechless, i never knew they could make a lcd work on an amoled phone |
