Hi! I have the same issue on two pieces of Note3 N9005, wifi mac address is present but the wifi knob is grayed out. Already tried to change different versions of FW, it seems to be a SW issue.
Now I read that its possible to get wifi functional by erasing and rewriting IMEI, now im working on that with octopus but putting to DM+MODEM+ADB the phone cant be seen by pc
Already ordered the wifi chip but wont change it until wont do all possible probes about SW

After installing the new chip, BT worked but wifi grayed out. I pulled off the new chip, installed the old chip and there was the same issue.
Then I downgraded it from 5.0 to 4.4.2 and all works just fine!!!
