Need help with my S300

Need some help from the experts here. I had a situation like this, when I flip over the front cover, the internal LCD doesn't light up at all. No display at all. However, when I flip it slowly over, I can see the LCD display light up with the normal display. But at some position before it's fully opened, the display will just shut off by itself. Sometimes I do manage to keep the LCD display on by flipping slowly.

Is there anything I can try to salvage the situation ? I don't think the internal LCD is faulty as the display does come up okay when I flip it over slowly. It might be some continuity problems with the cables ? I'm not sure and I have never tried to open up my S300 before. But since the warranty period has already expire for this unit, I am thinking of taking the chances to perhaps open it up and try to fix it up myself.

Currently, I had no problems on dialing out / answering incoming call from my S300. So, the rest of the phone functions seemed ok. Just need to address this LCD problem.

Please help me. This S300 is a gift from my wife and I really want to make it work alright again.

Thanks.
