S5230W touch screen not working - GSM-Forum

Hello everybody,
I have a Samsung S5230W which was working fine till a couple of hours ago.
Suddenly the touch screen stopped working: at first pressing on every point of the screen did not cause any reaction but after a bit of pressing/smashing_phone_on_the_table it began working again.
Unfortunately it was just for a few moments, I only managed to copy a couple of important numbers..
Now the touch screen does work, but with some kind of "offset": if I press in the middle of the screen the phone interprets it as if I pressed 0,5cm above it.

Is there any way I can fix it by myself?
Is there any procedure to calibrate touchscreen?
Any chance of doing something by opening it up?

Open the fone.Remove touch pad.Clean with a good cleaner.And fix it.ur problem solved.

mm which part of the touch screen should I clean? the one directly above it or the back of the "glass" on wich I usually press?

there is a touch cantrol ic also in pcb.

change that if not done.
