Did someone discovered how to fix this flex?

I need to fix it, not replace it, and I can confirm it is the flex, I tried a different flex and phone will not power on by itself.

after replacing the original flex the phone keeps powering on.
I cleaned the flex very well, including the usb socket.

I suspect on a black small IC in the flex, near to the usb socket, what is this IC's function?
